ESC Keycap Workshop at *SCAPE Re Festival 2025

We were excited to be part of *SCAPE Re:Play Festival 2025 in August. The three-day event celebrated youth culture and innovation across the gaming, art, media and entertainment (G.A.M.E.) sectors.

As part of the festival programme, we conducted our ESC Keycap Workshop, giving participants the opportunity to explore colour and Jesmonite casting while creating a functional keyboard accessory of their own.

Exploring Colour Through Jesmonite Casting

Participants began by selecting their preferred colour palettes and mixing pigments into Jesmonite. Although everyone followed the same making process, each participant made their own creative decisions along the way. The different colour combinations and casting styles meant that every finished keycap had its own pattern and character.

A Functional Piece to Bring Home

Once the cast pieces had set, the keycaps were removed from their moulds to reveal the completed designs.

Each participant left the workshop with a custom Jesmonite ESC keycap they had made themselves—a small but functional keepsake from their experience at *SCAPE Re:Play Festival.
